Judge Amy Corrigall Jones is an accomplished legal professional who has worked in the legal field for over a decade. She has served the Summit County community since her election to the Summit County Court of Common Pleas in 2012. She was re-elected to a second six-year term in 2018 and elected by her peers as presiding judge of the Common Pleas Court in 2016. Currently in her fourth term as administrative judge of the general division, Judge Amy Corrigall Jones has been involved in initiatives aimed at addressing recidivism and providing support to veterans.
Judge Jones co-founded the Summit County Valor Court, a specialized veterans treatment court, alongside Judge Jerry K. Larson. The court connects veterans dealing with trauma to treatment, mentorship, and rehabilitative services. In 2019, Judge Jones launched the Summit County Offender Recidivism Reduction Project (SCORR), which applies the swift, certain, and fair (SCF) model of supervision to reduce drug use and recidivism among high-risk probationers.
In addition to her judicial work, Judge Jones has been recognized for her contributions to the legal community. She was a 30 for the Future award recipient and has received recognition from the Ohio State Bar Foundation. She has also served on the Portage County Public Defender’s Commission and coached basketball at Archbishop Hoban High School and St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. Judge Jones remains involved in professional and civic organizations, including the Ohio State Bar Association, the Akron Bar Association, and the League of Women Voters.
